Can you create the invoice list report but with the £ totals for the custom dates I enter, to be shown at the bottom?

It is not possible to show the total amount at the bottom of this report as it is designed to be a list of invoices, instead try running the 'Sales by customer detail' report - you can customise the date range and filter this report to show only invoices by going to Customise > Filter > Transaction type. The report will then give a break-down of totals per customer and an overall total at the bottom.
