Change in invoice appearance

Suddenly, my invoice input screen is different.  There is an extra field(LOCATION OF SALE) that is appearing midscreen, right side.  It has my address in it.  My location setting is turned off (I checked) so not sure why this is showing up.  Also, the Balance Due used to populate as I entered items on the invoice.  Now, it just says 0.00 even when I complete the invoice.  This seems to be a QB glitch.  Anyone else having same issue?

My son has a different version of QB online, and his invoice screen has the same new field showing up, too.

Thanks for checking this with us,mfsi.

The extra field that you're referring is a newly added field in QuickBooks Online (QBO). The shipping address from your Customer information is used to calculate the Location of sale on your invoice.

On the other note, to resolve your issue with the Balance Due that is not auto populating, I recommend performing some basic browser troubleshooting steps.

First, let's use an incognito or private browser when creating an invoice. You can refer to the following keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Google Chrome, press CTRL  + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press CTRL  + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If it works, you can clearing your browser's cache files of your regular web browsers. A typical browser uses a cache of memory to work efficiently and load pages faster, but as data collects it can cause this behavior. Otherwise, try using a other supported browser and see how it works.

Update me on how it goes or if you have other questions. I'm always around to back you up. Have a good one.
