Hello there, @userfordfloors.

Making sure your customer can view the invoice you sent them is one way to find out their existing balance.

Since they're having problems accessing the form, you can advise them to open the View invoice link using an incognito mode. This type of browser doesn't store cache and cookies that sometimes cause errors when running frequently visited websites.

Below are the shortcut keys you can use depending on your browser type:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If this works, your customer has to clear their browser's cache to delete cache history and to have a clean slate. If the same result, they can use another supported browser as alternatives.

Customising your invoice forms to reflect more of your business identity is easy with QBSE. To get started, please head to the Customise your invoices section of this article: Create invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed. This page will also guide you on how to print and export invoices.

Feel free to post again here if you have additional concerns about your customer not being able to view the invoice you sent them. I'll be happy to assist you. Have a good one.
