I have just taken over running a businesses quick books and there were a lot of double entrys. I have tried deleting and voiding them. I have reconciled these voided transactions and it does it but then they keep showing up as a transaction when I start the next month. Why wont they delete or void?

Hello Courtney -Acc, can you ring the support line on 0808 234 5337 and you'll be able to set up a screen share with the agent on the phone so they can look into tis more for you and if it needs to be raised up to the engineers they will be able to do this on the call. The line is open mon to fri 8am to 7pm and is free from any UK landline or mobile.

Hello Community users, we just wanted to pop in and add an update to this thread. The user contacted our senior support team who investigated. The reason the deleted/voided transactions in this case were still showing was because the user had a banking rule set up to auto add those transactions. When the auto add rule was turned off, the transactions were then able to be properly deleted or voided.

Hello Courtney-Acc,

Welcome to the Community page,

So when Deleting will remove the transaction entirely in Quickbooks.  Voiding will change the amounts to 0 but the transaction will still be in the system, just not affecting any accounts.

I have tried to do both and it states voided but next time I log in, the transaction is back with a the same amount i voided. What is happening for that transaction to not dissapear, i must haev deleted these 5 transctions 10 times and they still come back like a bad boyfriend :)
