Direct Debits - subscription only or all fees?

Hi,

I'm using QB to do the book-keeping for a small membership organisation with about 1200 members and we're in the process of switching members from Standing Orders to Direct Debits. I've set up a GoCardless acount and linked it to QB but I want to know if it's possible to set up two different types of DD? I want to give member the option to pay subscriptions only by DD or you use DD to pay ALL their extras as well.

Is there anyway I can do this within QB?

Thanks.

Dot

Direct Debit works for collecting payments from your customers. You can only set up one type of Direct Debit using GoCardless. Thus, paying through Direct Debit in other aspects within QuickBooks is unavailable, Dot.

I recommend sending feedback directly to our product engineers. This way, they can evaluate your suggestion. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Then, select Next to submit feedback.

Additionally, you can visit this article for integrating GoCardless with QuickBooks Online: Get started with GoCardless in QuickBooks Online

Ok, that's very helpful.

As i understand it, it is possible to set up more than one sort of DD in Go Cardless, so if I want to have these two options, I would need to set those up via GoCardless rather than through QB.

If that was the case, would I be better off the unlink CG and QB and manage the receipts manually?

Thanks.
