Discount percentage figure wrong on sales receipts and invoices but calculates correct total balance owing?

When entering a percentage - eg 30% in the ‘Discount Percentage’ box it calculates an incorrect amount but somehow is correct in the total balance figure.  Can anyone advise on how to correct this? Thanks

Hello Hollyfb, Welcome to the Community page, please can you try some trouble shooting steps and see if it resolves it for you if not we would suggest you ring the support line on 0808 234 5337 the line is open mon to fri 8am to 7pm and is free from any UK landline or mobile or our chat support so that you can set up a screenshare with the agent so this can be looked into more for you. Troubleshooting steps 

 

Try clearing your cache and cookies to all time, close the browser down reload it and try again,

Try in a incognito/private winder

Different device

Different browsers 

Different network

Hello Community users, we just wanted to stop by and add an update to this thread, with the resolution for the original post.

When you add a percentage discount to the customer invoice it will not discount on the VAT percentage as well. This is how the QuickBooks product was designed. You can amend the VAT amount in the VAT calculation box if the rounding pence does as it may round up/down slightly on a transaction but you can not give a percentage discount on an invoice that will impact VAT.
