Do I need to send a copy of every receipt I claim vat for?

Are you referring to sales receipts in QuickBooks Onlne that you claim VAT for and sending them to HMRC? If that is the case then no you do not need to do that as long as you record the sales receipt in QuickBooks then there is a digital trail that HMRC can look at if you were audited.
