Question

Does anyone have a problem with the split function in expenses when you add a row? It hides the Accept and apply tab, so you are unable to complete. Really annoying.

I'm eager to show you what keeps you from proceeding with this splitting task, @jrochebk. Let me explain what is possible behind the error you encounter from the Banking section in QuickBooks Online.

 

From the Split Transaction screen, you will enter a corresponding amount that will match your original amount. Thus, if the digit entered is less or more than the total amount, an amount highlighted in red will appear below, which means there is a difference between the transactions. Hence, that is the reason the Accept and Apply tab is greyed out. See the sample illustration below:

To resolve this, please ensure the transaction corresponds to the original amount to complete the process.
