I have some older customers, who would just like a printed invoice, they can read and keep. There is no facility on the Self Employed Application to simply print off an invoice to post to a customer. Is there a  facility to do this that I am missing?

Hello, Paul Bell.

You can follow the steps below to print an invoice in QuickBooks Self-Employed:

  1. Click Invoice from the left menu.
  2. Under the Invoice tab locate the invoice that you wanted to print.
  3. Click the arrow next to Mark as paid/View.
  4. Select Print from the drop-down option.

Please stay around if you have further questions about QuickBooks.

Thanks, that is fine, once the invoice has been saved. However, it cannot be saved without an email address. Also, the only tab available to save an invoice, is to "send". Without an email address, this cannot be done. How do I save without an email address?

Thanks for responding back to me, Paul Bell.

Saving invoices without an email address is unavailable in QuickBooks Self-Employed. If your customers refuses to provide this information, you instead use a dummy email or a sample email.

For now, I’ll make sure to take note of your preferred way of invoicing and share this with our developers for future updates.

Stay around if you have other questions about QuickBooks. Thanks again!
