Question

Email receipts from my verified email address has suddenly stopped working in the last week of April?

Having issues the last couple of weeks with Quickbooks not picking up any of the receipts I have emailed to [email address removed] from my verified email address. It has worked perfectly for a couple of years but now I'm not getting any bounce back or notification email and the transactions don't appear in Quickbooks.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, Lucy.

Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to rule out the possibility of a browser issue and get you back on track in tracking your receipts in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

Before we start, let's first make sure you didn't receive notification emails by checking your spam and junk folders. Once confirmed, go ahead and perform some troubleshooting steps by pulling up your QBSE account using a private browser (incognito). Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox)
  • Control Option (Safari)

Once signed in, go to the Transactions menu to review your emailed receipts. You can refer to this article for the detailed steps: Forward receipt images to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you're able to do so, return to your default browser and clear its cache. This will refresh the system and remove older data that causes viewing and performance issues. However, if this matter continues, I'd recommend using other supported browsers.

In case the issue persist, you can either snap a picture of your receipt using the QBSE app or manually add them to your account as a workaround. Then, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care team to report the issue.

Also, you may want to check out this article as your guide in reviewing your entered or downloaded transactions in QBSE to keep your financial data accurate: Categorise transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please feel free to drop a comment below if you have other concerns about emailing receipts in QBSE. I'm always ready to help. Take care, Lucy.
