Error importing CSV file from TSB

I have managed to import some older transactions in to QuickBooks Self Employed but these are now showing as 'Cash' and not with the name of the TSB account. Can this be edited? This seems like a bug in QBSE.

    What you can do to isolate this issue is first to ensure that you use the correct CSV format before uploading your transactions to QuickBooks. These are the two kinds of formats you can follow:

     

    • The first is where columns include the Date, Transaction name/description, and Amount. The date format should be DD/MM/YYYY, and the amount column should show the figures with a plus or minus symbol so the program can see if it's income or an expense.

     

    • The second is similar to the first. The CSV can have four columns: Date, Transaction name/description, Credit, and Debit. Again, the date format should be DD/MM/YYYY.

    Yes, I understand about the formats and have successfully imported a number of transactions, except as I have said, QBSE has labelled them all as 'Cash'. This is in spite of me selecting the appropriate 'Import older transactions' link on the 'import transactions' page. I can only think that this is a bug in QBSE. How does one report this? Is there an email for support?

      It could be the cache full of history and temp files that cause an unexpected error while uploading CSV files from TSB. I suggest logging in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account using a private browser. Then, try to import your entries from there. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue and ensure private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.

       

      Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:

       

      • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
      • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
      • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

       

      If it works in incognito, you'll need to clear the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so that you can start with a clean slate. If the steps above don't work, use another supported browser.
