Hello there, paul174.

Let’s perform some basic troubleshooting steps to get you back on track.

Before we proceed, make sure your user type is not set to Standard. This is to ensure you can access any areas in the company.

To start, change the data connection on your device. If you're connected to Wi-Fi, turn it off and use cellular data and vice versa. Then, open QuickBooks again and access the Expenses menu.

If you get the same result, close and restart the app. If the issue persists, clear the app's data to start fresh. The steps differ depending on your device.

For Android users:

  1. On your device, click the Settings icon and choose Apps.
  2. Select QuickBooks from the list and tap the Storage option.
  3. Then, hit the Clear Data link.

For iOS users, follow the recommended steps in this article and proceed to the iOS section: Troubleshooting Quick-Start Guide for the QuickBooks Online app.
