I have emailed receipts to my quickbooks email address, but they have not appeared in the 'for review' section of banking

Let's make sure that email receipts will appear on the banking section, Juliahislop.

 

Are you getting any errors when emailing receipts?

 

If you are trying to email your expense receipts and bills to get them into QuickBooks Online (QBO), you'll have to use a custom email address so you can forward images of your receipts and bills successfully. To create one, follow the steps provided below.

  1. Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
  2. Select the Receipts tab.
  3. Select Forward from email.
  4. In the Enter a custom email field, create a customised email address. It will have @qbodocs.com at the end.
  5. When you're ready, select Customise email and then ConfirmNote: Once you claim an email address, you can't change it.
  6. Give permission for users to forward emails to your new email address by turning on the toggle for each user. Or to add a new user, select Add new user. Learn how to add a new user.
  7. Then select Done.

Once done, capture images again and forward them to QuickBooks. Here's how:

  1. Take a picture of your bill or receipt on your mobile device. The photo must be a pdf, jpeg, jpg, gif, or png.
  2. Make sure each image or file contains only one receipt.
  3. Email the image to your custom email address @qbodocs.com. It may take a few minutes to send.

QuickBooks automatically pulls dates, amounts, suppliers, and the last four digits of credit card from the image. You can also send multiple receipt images in one email. The email attachment's file size must be between 46KB to 20 MB so you'll be able to see them in the For Review tab.
