I can help you with categorizing your bank transactions, @userpjpipkin1616.

The connection between your bank and QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) may have been reestablished, and that caused your transactions to be uncategorised.

To recategorise your transactions quickly, you may consider using bank rules. It will automatically categorise transactions that are usually the same.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon ⚙ and choose Rules.
  2. Click on Create Rule.
  3. Enter the customer or vendor for whom you want to create the rule in the Description box. If you want QuickBooks to utilize the rule only when transactions match perfectly, check the Match exactly checkbox.
  4. Provide all the information needed and click on Save once you're done.

You can check this article for more information and further guidance in creating bank rules: Create rules to speed up reviews in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

You may also consider reaching out to our Customer Support team to check their tools if they can recover those categorised transactions.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. Log in to your QBSE account.
  2. Click the Assistant button at the top.
  3. Type Talk to human at the chat box.
  4. You'll now be provided with support options that are available at that time.

Check this article for detailed guidance in reaching out to our Customer Support: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.
