Hi swim4youltd,

Creating a proforma invoice is not an option in QuickBooks Online. As a workaround, you can create an estimate template and name the form as Proforma Invoice.

  1. Open the estimate transaction.
  2. Click Customise and choose Edit current.
  3. Click New Style to create one.
  4. Name the template to something like Estimate as Proforma Invoice.
  5. Click the Content bar and the Header section of the previewed estimate on the right.
  6. Go to the Form section on the left and change the form name to Proforma Invoice.
  7. Click Done.

To use the template, you can just create another estimate or edit the one you have. Then, click Customise and choose the one for proforma invoices.

Let me know if you have other questions in mind. Have a good day!

@swim4youltd

You need an additional app to create a proforma invoice and a commercial invoice separately.
