Hi...how can I check that an invoice has definitely been sent to a customer?

Hello NS108,

 

Welcome to the Community - thank you for your question!

 

The invoice will show as Sent under the status column - this status will change to viewed once they open the invoice and select Review & Pay. You can also open the invoice and scroll down to view the history - this will show when it was sent.
