Question

Hi, I've started to find the app changes the date on my expenses as I input them to todays date. Really frustrating when i'm trying to catch up on last weeks expenses?

Hello there, villagebakers.

Let's perform a few basic troubleshooting steps fix and make the date of your expense accurate. If you're using mobile app, you can follow these steps:

Change the data connection on your device. Here's how:

  • If connected to Wifi, turn it off and use cellular data.
  • If connected to cellular data, connect to Wifi.

Then, close and restart the app. Once done, clear the app data by following the steps below depending on the platform that you're using:

Android:

  1. From More Options, select Settings.
  2. Select Refresh Data, and then choose Yes.

iOS:

  1. From the Menu ☰, select Help & Feedback.
  2. Select Refresh Data, and then select Refresh.

If the same thing happens, we can uninstall and reinstall the app to keep the application compatible with your mobile app. On the other hand, if you're using the QuickBooks Desktop app, these are the steps to follow to clear the QBO windows app cache:

  1. Select Help in the upper right corner
  2. Select Reset App Data.
  3. This will clear the cache and reset the app to the QBO sign-on screen.

Also, I'm adding some articles that help you differentiate about using bills, cheques, and expenses in QBO:
