Question

Hi ive been adding to and editing an invoice until a message pops up "unable to add nvoice!" So can't edit it now any idea please?

I'm here to share with you some insights on how to isolate and get around this issue. 

 

First, I recommend logging out and logging back into your QuickBooks Online (QBO). Doing so refreshes your account for the updates to take effect. 

 

If the message persists, I suggest accessing your QBO account in a private or incognito mode. This way, we can check if this is a browser cache issue. The browser uses cache data to load web pages faster. However, too much of it causes issues that affect the views and performance of your account. 

 

Utilizing a private window helps us verify the issue since this doesn't save any data files. You can refer to these keyboard shortcuts below:

 

  • Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome browser)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge browsers
  • Command + Shift + N for Safari browser

 

If you can edit and save the changes in your invoices without any problem, I recommend clearing your regular browser cache. It deletes all the data from your browser and optimizes its performance. Using other supported browsers also helps us verify if this is a browser-specific issue.
