How can I add carriage returns / line breaks to line items on invoices in Quickbooks Self-Employed?

Does anyone know if its possible to add carriage returns to invoice item descriptions in Quickbooks Self-Employed? I'm used to adding long descriptions and listing the tasks I carried out for the client (this was very easy to do in Freshbooks - which I used previously).

I'm using a PC laptop. Any advice much appreciated.

Hi @AbegailS_ ,

It seems your advice about third-party apps was incorrect. QSE doesn't support third-party apps.

I typed 'apps' into the support assistant and it told me the following:

"Right now QuickBooks Self-Employed doesn't work with any third-party apps. That's a QuickBooks Online thing."

I'm very surprised you didn't know this.

Hello Community Users! Just wanted to pop in and confirm that currently in Quickbooks Self Employed UK it is not possible to integrate 3rd party apps directly in the Quickbooks itself. That feature is currently only available in Quickbooks Online UK. Therefore  in relation to adding line items for carriage returns you can only make modifications to the invoice such as adding work to add a line. We do see that is not what is being asked for in this instance so we will add to the previous feedback given. Any questions just ask on this thread. We have amended the previous post to make sure it has the correct information.

Hello there, dan145.

Thanks for getting in touch with the Community.

Adding line breaks to line items on invoices in Quickbooks Self-Employed is not available. I'll surely send this feedback to our software engineers. It might be given a chance to be added in the next product updates.

I look forward to your reply. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply @AbegailS_

That's a shame - seems like a very simple feature to add. Hopefully it will be added at some point in the future.

Thanks for mentioning third party apps. I'll have a look and see what's available / what's possible.

Many thanks.
