It's great to see you recommending QuickBooks Self-Employed to a friend. At this time, the Refer-A-Friend program is only available in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) US version. 

On the other hand, you may want to let your friend avail of our trial version to know more about how QBSE in UK version works. Visit this link to see more: QuickBooks Self-Employed Plans & Pricing. From there, your friend can click the Free trial switch to get for free in a month.
