Question

How do I add a receipt image to an existing expense? I'm using the app on android. There's no option to browse or attach when I'm in the expense.

Thanks for letting me know about this, @emmahaines2010-g. I want to ensure that this concern gets addressed accurately.

 

You'll have to open the existing expense and click the pencil icon to edit the transaction. From there, click the camera icon and add your receipt image.

 

If you can't still add the receipt image, we can perform basic troubleshooting steps by clearing the cache and cookies that may have caused this unexpected behavior. Let's reset to refresh your QB online mobile app. 

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Help (?) icon at the upper right.
  2. Choose Reset App Data.
  3. Wait for the process to complete, then close the app.
  4. When it reopens, right-click the app and Run as Administrator.

 

If you continue to get the same result, uninstall and reinstall the application to start with a clean slate. 

 

To remove:

 

  1. Drag the QuickBooks Windows app from the Applications folder to the Trash icon.
  2. Go to Finder, then choose Empty Trash.

 

After uninstalling the app, reinstall the app by going to either the Google Play Store or App Store, searching for QuickBooks, and reinstalling. Then after it has been installed, open the app and sign in.
