Let's accurately categorise your personal loan in QuickBooks Self-Employed to keep it separate from your business tax records, ionut-gherghin.

To begin with, please note that it's important to avoid mixing personal and business transactions in the same account to maintain accurate financial records.

Once your bank account transactions are imported into QBSE, follow these steps to categorise your personal loan:

  1. Navigate to the Transactions menu.
  2. Locate the loan transaction in the list.
  3. Select Personal in the TYPE column.

Additionally, I recommend consulting your tax advisor to ensure you categorise and manage your records accurately. They can provide personalized guidance tailored to your specific financial situation.
