How do i categorise receipts for items bought for my business but were on my own personal bank account such as fuel and motoring cost?

i paid for items for work such as van insurance and tyres  and fuel from my personal bank account and want to put them through the business how do i go around doing this ?

Hello Aawoodworx1-outl, thanks for posting on the Community page,  so you can record it as an expense and create a chart of account for it or a few chart of accounts depending if you want to keep it together or separate. 

 

Accounting> chart of accounts> new> account type - expense/ detail type - auto/ name - e.g types then can do it all again and create one for fuel. For the van insurance account type - expense/ detail type - insurance/ name e.g insurance . We are not trained accountants just technical support so you can get more advise on this with your accountant
