How do I record a capital allowance such as machinery I have bought for my gardening business?

Hi there, FreshDigs.

 

I've got two options on how you can record it in QuickBooks Self-Employed. You can either add the transaction and tag it as Personal, or directly add it to the form before filing. I'll show you how to add it in QBSE:

 

  1. Go to the Transactions ta from the left panel.
  2. Click Add transaction.
  3. Enter the amount and description.
  4. In the Select a category menu, choose the best category of the transactions.
  5. Select Save.
