how to enter end of day till receipt when we have had numerous customers who pay with cash and card.

We have a wine bar and serve food .We have multiple transactions can and card. The till splits the end of day receipt into dry and wet sales ..How do I enter this into Quick books as I do not know which purchases have been made by card or cash? Thanks

Thanks for joining us here on the Community 👋

 

We've created a guide here which shows how to record your total daily sales in QuickBooks using a single sales receipt. 

 

The field for the 'Payment method' is optional so if you don't know this information or there are multiple methods, you can leave this blank.

 

You can also setup two different items (Step 3) for dry sales and wet sales and then enter these on separate lines on the sales receipt to distinguish between the two on the reporting.
