Question

How to find all transactions entered into quickbooks today with different transaction date

Hello,

I was reviewing last year's General Ledger activity against the bank and noticed the bank had several unposted transactions ( because I had manually posted them last year).  I accidently hit post and now they are duplicated, but I can't tell which ones they are.  Is it possible to run an audit report to see what I entered into Quickbooks today.  None will have today as a transaction date they were all 2022 transactions.

Yes, you can access the audit log to view all transactions you entered in QuickBooks, @mmaynard_uk. Let me impart information on how the feature works and other ways to find your entries more easily.

The Audit log in QuickBooks Online (QBO) lets you view all activities, including changes made in your company file and who made them.

You can follow the instructions below to accomplish the task:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the QBO toolbar.
  2. Select Audit log under the Tools.
  3. Use the Filters to narrow down the results.
  4. Hit View to see all the information.

To set the number of entries displayed per page in the log, select the small setting and choose an option from the Page Size section. You can also print and export them.

Additionally, you can search for transactions using the magnifying glass or through your account history. This enables you to effortlessly review or edit them.

The program allows you to generate reports to gain insights about your business. If you’re interested to learn more about it and other report features, feel free to visit this reference: Run reports in QBO.

If you need further assistance with managing past and current transactions, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'm always available to help.
