How to record stock sent to a Fufillment warehouse?

Hello!

We want to start online sales on a certain platform. This platform provides fulfillment solutions - i.e. I send our stock to them, they store it and send it to buyers as necessary.

Sending stock to their warehouse is not a sale - it still belongs to our company as long as it is not sold.

Nevertheless this is away and for all intents and purposes is as good as unavailable for sale to other firms from our home warehouse.

How do I record and track these stock movements with QB? We have a Plus account with stock tracking enabled.

Hello, @SGI.

You may record an estimate to send your stocks so it won't record any sales. However, you still need to track the movement manually since the system doesn't have the fulfilment option or don't track the items from sending them to the store then to the buyers. Currently, tracking stock movements for items directly in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is unavailable.

Or, you can look for a third-party application from our app store. Here's the link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/.

In case you need additional references about managing stocks in QBO, check out the topics from this link.

@SGI

You may need an inventory management app with the consignment feature.
