Let me clarify some things about scanning invoices with a couple of pages in QuickBooks Online, @ssurbanconstruct.

When using this feature, it's crucial to remember that only one invoice can be scanned at a time. This method serves as an alternative way to view invoices that have multiple pages. QuickBooks does not allow the scanning of receipts and invoices with several pages; each will be considered a separate transaction.

Each image or file should contain only one receipt or bill and must not include an invoice that extends over multiple pages. For this particular case, you may manually input the bill into QBO.

Here's how to get a bill from a supplier, and here's how to record it:

  1. Click on Select + New, then choose Bill.
  2. In the Supplier ▼ dropdown, pick a supplier.
  3. Next, from the Terms ▼ dropdown, choose the payment terms for the bill, indicating when the supplier expects payment.
  4. Fill in the Bill date, Due date, and Bill number as they appear on the document. In the Category details section, provide the bill information.
  5. From the Category dropdown, select the expense account you use for tracking expenses, and add a description.
  6. Input the Amount and tax. If you intend to charge a customer for this expense, check the Billable box and enter the customer's name in the Customer field.
  7. Once everything is complete, click Save and close.
