How to set customer specific download folder for invoices

Hi,

 

When we create invoices in quickbooks online, we download the invoice as a PDF and store it in a customer specific folder on our local server. Currently the download automatically goes into the windows download folder, and we have to navigate to the folder and copy and paste to the correct folder.

 

Is there a way to set default download folders for each customer? Or is there a way to select the folder to download to when clicking download on the invoice screen?

Hi Matt, thanks for your post - when clicking on the downwards arrow on the print preview screen (rather than the download button) you'll be able to select the specific folder to store this in on your computer, it is not, however, possible to set a default for this.

Download file location is a browser setting rather than a QB setting.

If you're using Chrome browser (Edge, Firefox should all have equivalents) go to chrome://settings/downloads & there's an option Ask where to save each file before downloading
