I cant seem to split my supermarket receipts successfully

Allow me to share some insights about why you can't seem to split your supermarket receipts successfully in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

Normally the option split expense button can be seen at the left bottom of the screen after clicking the Edit receipt details. However, in your case, it's most likely that the browser cache has been stored for a long period of time already. Which causes the browser to behave strangely. In the meantime, I suggest performing some basic troubleshooting steps. This way, we'll know if you're experiencing a browser-related issue.

 

 Here are the shortcut keys for these browsers:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 

Clear your cache and refresh website preferences, which may cause issues with QBO.
