Thanks for posting here, Allan.

Allow me to help you out with your CIS transactions. I've tried adding an invoice and the CIS tax is working fine deduction 20% off the sale.

To make sure this feature works correctly, you need to set up the customer as a CIS contractor. Here are the steps:

  1. In the navigation bar, go to Sales then Customers.
  2. Click the customer name or click on New customer.
  3. Fill in the fields in the Customer information window.
  4. Mark the CIS contractor and enter their UTR number in the Tax info tab.
  5. Click Save
  6. Use this contractor when you click on New transaction to enter a new invoice/sales receipt.

Once done, it will appear like this:

I'm adding this link so you can review your CIS settings: CIS in QuickBooks Online

If you followed everything correctly and still having the same issue, I suggest using a private window. Unexpected issues in QuickBooks are sometimes affected by the amount of data stored in the cache. This is because a regular browser will constantly overwrite itself and will not remove history unless done manually.

Private browsing will not save any history, so it's a great place to identify issues in the browser. Use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

Once you open a private browser, log in to your QBO account and try to enter a transaction. If it functions correctly there, clear the cache to resolve browser issues in QBO. You can also use a different browser and see if the issue persists there.
