I have been asked to produce an "Order Confirmation" - does such a thing exist please regards

There is no direct feature within QuickBooks to create an order confirmation, as a workaround, you could create a custom estimate template to apply to an estimate transaction (+ New > Estimate) so that it appears instead as an order confirmation. 

To create the custom estimate template, select the Cogwheel > Custom form styles > New style > Estimate > Content > Select the header > Edit the 'Form Name' field to e.g 'Order confirmation' and change any other details as desired. 

Once the estimate is entered you can then convert this into an invoice by selecting 'Create invoice' on the estimate - to do this you'll first need to make sure the progress invoicing feature is enabled. 🙂
