Question

I have integrated GoCardless. I upload 10-30 invoices to Quickbooks weekly. Is there a way for QB to just take payment by direct debit if a customer is signed up for it?

Yes, you can take payments from your customer by direct debit, a39property. I'll walk you through the process to start collecting from them with GoCardless.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) offers an easier way to get invoice payments from your client using GoCardless. You'll have to set up direct debit mandates and send it to them. Before you begin, make sure your customer has an active email in their profile, then follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Sales menu and select Customers.
  2. Find the client you want to set up the mandate for, then in the Action arrow drop-down, choose Request Direct Debit.
  3. Review the request, then once done, click Send.

Your customer will receive an email requesting them to set up, approve the authorization, and provide their bank information.

On the other hand, if your customers have an existing mandate set up, here's how to import them into the program:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select All lists.
  2. Choose Direct Debit Mandates.
  3. Click the Import Mandates button.
  4. Use the drop-down options to match the mandates with the customer.
  5. Press Import.

When the process is complete, you'll be able to collect invoice payments directly from your customer's bank account., you're able to collect the invoice payments directly from your customer's bank.
