Question

I have just renewed my bank connection but two months of data are missing in my transactions. Data runs until Feb 21 and then starts again in Apr 21. Does anyone know how to rectify this? Thanks.

I have the instructions on how to rectify your missing transactions, @drsrogersclinpsy.

Thanks for renewing your online bank account in QuickBooks Online. I'm here to ensure that your missing transactions will show up on your banking feeds swiftly. This way, you can track and manage your account accordingly.

Disconnecting bank accounts stop QuickBooks from downloading new transactions. With this, I'd recommend manually updating the connection. Such that the lost data will appear on your bank feeds.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking tab on the left side.
  2. Click Update or Manage connections
  3. Go to the For Review tab to check the missing data.

For more details, check out this page: What to do if you can’t find downloaded transactions.

If the issue persists, I'd suggest manually downloading the transactions through a CSV file. Thus, you can categorise and reconcile your accounts whenever you’re ready.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your bank website and follow the instructions on how to download your transactions as a comma-separated value (CSV) file. Make sure that your CSV file matches your bank's format and correct mapping to avoid any errors.
  2. Go to the Banking tab on the left side.
  3. Click the Link account drop-down and choose Upload from a file.
  4. Tap Browse and pick the data

       5. In the QuickBooks account field, select the account you want to upload the transactions into and click Next.

       6. Review all the fields, then tap Next

       7. Click Let's go to complete the process.

For more details about the process, check out this page: Manually upload transactions

I've also added some articles about handling bank transactions, fixing some errors., and other topics.
