I have lost a transaction that showed through one of my accounts, attached it to an invoice which i then deleted and now i cannot find the money

Hi there, liamptmason.

 

I'll help you with finding that transaction.

 

Once we delete an invoice, all of the transactions attached to it will remain in the system. If it's an invoice payment or a credit note, it's status will become unapplied. We can go to the Customers tab to check all the transactions linked to that invoice. I'll guide you how:

 

  1. Select Sales from the sidebar menu.
  2. Go to the Customers tab.
  3. Click the Transaction List tab.
  4. Locate the transaction linked to that deleted invoice.
  5. You can also filter the results by selecting the Filter drop-down.

In case you'll need to track all the invoices that are due on a particular date range, we can customize your Transaction Detail By Account report.
