I need to delete a customer as I forgot to enter an Opening Balance and have since entered an invoice. How do I delete customer to start over.

Thanks for posting on the Community. 

 

 

When you enter an opening balance during the setup of a customer QuickBooks creates this as an invoice on the customers account. This can easily be replicated by yourself if you have forgot to enter this during the setup by going to the customers page and selecting New transaction > Invoice.

 

On the invoice, enter the customer, the date of the opening balance, the 'Sales' product and the opening balance amount. 

 

When you have received the money from the customer, you can then mark this as payed by selecting 'Receive payment' on the invoice.
