Question

I want to do a quote not an estimate, is there an option for this or are they deemed the same thing on this program?

Hello Maxbleaken-hotma,

Welcome to the Community page,

So Estimate in Quickbooks is the same thing as quote. What you can and would need to do is just rename it to show as quote rather than as estimate in custom form styles.

So if you click on the main cog wheel> then custom form styles> new style>estimate>then on the design section, top box you would take the name out of estimate and type in quote and then click done. Then when you go to create an estimate from the +new  section , when you save and send it just make sure that the template is the quote that is selected by going to on the bottom of the estimate>click on customise and make sure the correct template is selected ticked then click save and send you will need to make sure the right template is selected each time before sending it to the customer.
