Question

In banking, when i match a bank receipt to a sales invoice, the transaction doesn't disappear from the "Review" list. It just stays there?

I'll walk you through some troubleshooting steps to assist you in resolving the transaction that won't be removed from the Review page, @jacqui.bryan.

This sales invoice should disappear from the for review tab after matching the bank receipt. You can review your work and ensure everything is correct in the Categorized or Reviewed tab. For more information, see this link: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online

The possible reasons why the transaction does not disappear are either there's duplicate invoices or a browser issue.

You can review the customer transactions list to ensure there are no duplicate invoices. Proceed with the following steps:

  1. Go to the Sales tab on the upper left side.
  2. Select the Customers button.
  3. Click the customer's name in the list and hit Transaction List
  4. Filter the appropriate fields and review the data.

Once confirmed and the issue persists, I'd recommend logging your account through incognito. This way, we can check if it's a browser-related issue. Sometimes, too much cache build-up in your regular browser can cause unexpected behavior in the product.

Refer to the keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox)
  •  Control + Option + P (Safari)
  •  Ctrl + Shift + P (Microsoft Edge)

Once in, re-check if the invoices are still in the For Review section. If it's gone, return to your regular browser and press the CTRL+ Shift and Delete keys on the keyboard to clear the cache.
