Is revolute business connection broken at the moment? it took me multiple attempts to reconnect the bank and none of the transactions are coming through.

Hi there, @pollokpooches. I'm here to provide some troubleshooting steps to help you with your bank connection issues in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). 

 

The information in QBSE is dependent on the data shared by your financial institution. To check if the transactions are updated on your bank, I suggest signing in to your bank's website. If you can't see any transactions on the page, I recommend reaching out to your bank. They'll have tools to check your account and make sure that the info is up to date.

 

If it's showing correctly from the website, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue. To start, let's manually update your bank connection in incognito mode. The web cache in your browser can sometimes hinder you from visiting frequently frequented websites like QBSE.  

 

The following shortcut keys can be used depending on your browser type:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N 
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 

Once logged in, let's update your bank. Here's how:

 

  1. Navigate to the Gear icon.
  2. Then, choose Bank Account.
  3. Click the Refresh all button.

 

If this works, you'll have to clear your regular browser's cache to have a clean slate. If not, you may also want to reach out to our Customer Care team to investigate the root cause of the issue. 

 

There's also another way you can upload bank transactions to QBSE. This is possible by manually importing them using a CSV file.

 

Once transactions are in, you'll now have to review and categorise them to ensure they are allocated to the correct account.
