Question

Is there a way to find expenses without attachments? Ie I only want to know about expenses that need attachments adding. I don't want to see expenses that have them.

Ideally I want to just check one category too.

Hi Jon!

 

I'll guide you through checking your list of transactions with attachments.

 

To do this, you can view your bank register and add the Attachment column to the table. Then, export the report to Excel and remove the transactions that don't have attachments. You may sort them by Attachment first to group then ones that have attachments.

 

 

After knowing which one has attachments, filter the ones that are on the category you need to see.

Hi,

 

Thank you for the reply. That is a disappointing answer. I was hoping for a quickbooks solution so that I can then easily edit the items and have a "live" view of where I am. I don't understand why quickbooks is so limited on its filters. 

 

Surely other users would need this type of search capability too.

I can see how beneficial this feature is for your business, jon.

 

That said, I recommend you send feedback on this option. This way, they can get notified of the features that business owners need. Also, the more requests it gets, the higher they will add it to future enhancements.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter a brief description of your product suggestion.
  4. Click Next to submit feedback.
