Question

Letter "GM" appear in my address on invoices, although they are not part of my address. How can I remove them?

When I added my address to invoices template, the systems adds letters "GM" in between town (which is London) and my post code. I do not know where they come from and cannot remove them

There could be a few reasons why this is happening. Let's explore some possible causes and solutions: 

 

  • Template customization: It's possible that the invoice template you're using has been customized to include additional characters in the address field. To check this, go to the "Custom Form Styles" section in QuickBooks Online and review the template settings for your invoices. Make sure there are no extra characters added to the address field.  

 

 

  • Data entry error: Double-check the address information you've entered for your customers in QuickBooks Online. It's possible that an extra letter was accidentally added to the address field when the customer's information was initially entered. Correcting any data entry errors should resolve the issue. 

 

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

many thanks for the help, thank you! 

I have followed the instructions above, it was all fine, no errors.

Finally I managed to get rid of the unwanted letters "GM"- in my Account and Settings I checked my company address record. It looked like "GM" letters (representing the county), were transferred for some reason from my company address to customer-facing address, although these addresses are different. After updating Customer-facing address and adding correct county abbreviation, it all works well now.
