Logging information with receipts

Is there a way to log information with a digital receipt when it is emailed? For example, how it was paid or whether its on account as my accountant then assigns them and reconciles

I tried going in and adding information to the memo field at the bottom yet it doesnt retain this information

The option to log information for digital receipts is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Dave. I can suggest an alternate way to help you achieve your goals. 

 

Upon emailing, the information you entered cannot be included in the extraction process within QBO. As a result, the only memo that will be visible in your records will be from transactions that have been manually entered into the platform.

 

To better align with your needs and streamline your documentation process, you can consider finding a third-party app that can let you add receipt information when being emailed. Here's how:

 

  1. From Apps, click Find apps.
  2. Enter your business needs in the search bar or utilize the Browse Categories and Browse Industries options.
