Question

My account showing invoice paid for 2021 to be over £9000 but since April 6th it hasnt been that much. Should this not just show invoices paid since the new financial year?

Hi there, maelaoisa-gmail-.

The Invoices page in QBSE is used to track your sales entries. The data recorded doesn’t affect the calculation of your self-assessment taxes.

QBSE is a cash-based accounting app, entries recorded date are the ones included in the calculation. When you receive payments, input the entries on the Transactions page and categorized them as income.

I’ll help and show you the steps. Here’s how:

  1. Tap the Transactions menu on the left panel and hit the Add transaction tab.
  2. This will expand a line where you can input the payments.
  3. Fill in the fields with the correct information.
  4. Click the Select a category link and choose Income.
  5. Press the Save button to keep the changes.

For future reference, let me share the following links. These resources provide detailed information on how to pay the self-assessment taxes and tips to make the process easier for you.

Reach out to me if you have other concerns or questions about QBSE. I’ll get back to help and make sure you’re taken care of. Have a great rest of the day.
