Hi, I want to make sure that you're able to recover your customer and invoice records in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

This unusual behavior of the QBO system can sometimes be caused by the browser's overtime collection of data from frequent page visits. To rectify this, you can perform some troubleshooting steps. You can start by pulling up your account using a different browser or an incognito so QuickBooks Online runs effectively.

You can use these shortcut keys to access a private window or an incognito:

  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once done, please view your transactions again. If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to fix the unexpected behavior in the product and to have a clean slate. If not, use other supported web engines. The current one you're using may have a temporary issue with QuickBooks. Utilizing a new browser allows you to get back to working order.

Moreover, you can also locate transactions in QBO by running the Audit Log report. This report helps you keep track of added, deleted, and modified transactions, as well as user entries.  It allows you to see the history of changes made to individual transactions or a range of multiple transactions.

If the same thing happens even after performing the steps above and checking on the Audit log, I would recommend reaching out to our support team. They can take a closer look at this and help you recover customers and invoices. Refer to this article to get their contact details: QuickBooks Online Support.

Additionally, here's an article that helps you manage your data in the future: Export data, reports, lists, and more from QuickBooks Online.

Get back to me if you have additional questions about QBO. I'd be more than happy to answer them for you. Have a good one.
