I am not an employee of QB but I figured I would help them out. I took the liberty of copying and pasting the approved message from their internal "handbook of answers"... I believe this one comes out of page 182 sec. 2 paragraph 3....

"Hi everyone on this thread, we appreciate this has been going on a long time and is causing a lot of frustration for our customers, however we're currently implementing measures to fix this issue. Please know that this is a high priority for us and will continue to be a focus and priority until fully resolved.

I politely asked a simple question and have yet to receive an answer. I feel for you guys with larger companies. I have to do this "workaround" for a handful of customers, and it is a major pain. I cannot imagine if I had hundreds or thousands of invoices monthly.

I guess we will just have to keep dealing with this for another year. Intuit is more focused on cleaning up the mess they created with Turbo Tax Re: the emergency 401k early withdrawal option from 2 years ago. Go read that post, it's a biggie. Lots of IRS penalties were billed to their users because of issues with the software when opting for the 3 year spread of liability.

In the meantime, I know not ideal, however, you can use these workarounds that will enable you to send invoices outside of QuickBooks:

You can save your form as a PDF and send it via email through your business or other email address

1. (For invoices or estimates only) You can send your customer a link to their invoice or estimate through SMS or messenger service. Simply click on “save and share link” then select “copy link” and paste it into your SMS or messenger service.

2.
If you have a Gmail or G-suite email account, you can use the Send with Gmail feature to send QBO forms from your own address following the steps in Use your Gmail address to send invoices (https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-uk/help-article/invoicing/use-gmail-address-send-invoices/L7bMJtO01_GB_en_GB?uid=l4skpaqj).

3. You can save your document as a PDF, print it, and send your customer their forms via mail

4. Customers -> select Invoices -> batch actions -> Print -> Save as PDF -> email from own email service

5. Statement of open invoice -> Open Invoices report -> Print -> Save as PDF -> email from own email service

I am getting so fed up with QB.. Problem after problem.. Non of my clients are receiving invoices ... Defo looking into zero now.

Probably had something to do with them working with shady companies like FTX.. I'm not surprised if they have been blacklisted because of that as well.

@Samer Sharawi

Thanks for your information. Why would FTX be the cause of intuit emails getting blocked as spam at server level?

I anyone else still having problems with this? There seems to be no pattern, some are received and some are not, so I know it’s not a settings problem, and definitely an app issue.

This has been happening to me. It seems to be effecting hotmail.com as the client who is not receiving invoices is on hotmail. I did a test invoice to myself on hotmail account and nothing at all comes through or in to junk. I send another test invoice to my wife's gmail email and that came straight though. I have just been on online chat and just sent the standard workaround about getting an IT expert!!

Hotmail defo seems to be an issue at the moment.

I have been having an issue since October '22 with invoices not going through to some clients (who i have been sending invoices to without problems for many months).

In fact it was one of my prompt paying clients who raised the issue with me. She also gets QB invoices from another source and hadn't been receiving them either. This is how she knew about it.

I have raised this November with QB however received a long, complicated message with long complicated workrounds. I am a dog walker I don't have the time or IT knowhow to action these.

I haven't received any follow up from QB and the problem seems to be effecting more clients each month.

I’m the same.  This thread shows as issue bing solved when in reality it is far from solved !  It’s so frustrating and the workaround options are obvious but alas don’t answer why the subscription is being taken in full for a service that’s not got for purpose

Im also having this problem again!

Some invoices are being received and others ( mainly Hotmail accounts) are not receiving anything.

Highly unprofessional when I can't even get an invoice to my customers.

I've experienced this problem again in Quickbooks, has the fix regressed at the last version update is

anyone else getting the same problem ?

It’s not every invoice, which is odd, just certain email accounts ie: Hotmail accounts mainly 🤔 🤔

Hello there, Mags.

We're aware that some QuickBooks Online users are currently experiencing errors when emailing invoices. Our engineers are working hard to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

We'll share updates as soon as we learn more. You may also check for updates on your end from time to time through this link: https://status.quickbooks.intuit.com/.

Thank you for your patience while we're working on a fix.

Any updates on this issue? It has been quite some time and I still can not send e-invoices. This causes a lot of extra labor as we have a lot of automated invoicing.

its only been 15 months .................... am sure they are 'working' on it LOL !

The company I work for uses QB to send invoices & the ONLY ones to bounce back are ALL gmail addresses. Why is that??

October 2, 2023

Hi KB1973, thanks for joining this thread

Invoices that are sent successfully from QuickBooks can be blocked at the recipients end (for instance, if their email provider mistakenly marks this as spam). You can follow the steps listed here to help customers receive your emails, or you can explore the option to use your Gmail address to send invoices from QuickBooks.

It only gets worse

Now the quickbooks Team (Hi Georgia) are welcoming people to the complaint thread rather than fixing the problem

You couldnt script this !

I have now joined the club of emails not being received by either customers or suppliers. Basically ALL send form are now not being sent from the Intuit servers.

But of course me posting in here will make ZERO difference because two years later Intuit customer support is terrible. I full expect I'll get the usual bot reply with the typical copy and paste reply I've just received in another post about this.

@JackSSeen as you posted your "solution" two years ago maybe you can shed some light as to why this is still an issue for people? There's an open investigation ongoing, no resolution timeframe. Don't you think it's time Intuit got a grip on all these problems.

February 20, 2024

oh and they have increased their prices

and still removing bad reviews !

February 20, 2024

I’ve honestly had enough Suzanne. I keep trying to grind things through, but now I’ve joined the zero email club it’s the last straw. Plus now removing feature such as the planner, which is terrible to start with but useable, just. How the hell can people be expected to send possibly 100’s of send forms manually each month.
