Question

My invoice numbering has changed. Now, no matter how many times I change it in settings it created crazy numbering that is not consistent with what I had before. Help!

The invoice number will always follow the number of the last transaction. The inconsistent number sequence could be caused by a cache-related issue. 

 

To start with, let's open QuickBooks Online using a private browser, then create invoices from there. If the sequence is correct, let's go back to the main browser, then clear the cache. This is the basic step we need to do if we encounter any web issues.

 

And one more thing, using a different browser resolves issues like this (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Mozilla Firefox).
