My invoices have disappeared . From number 4138 3/2/24 the next invoice is 4090 from 19/12/23 then next invoice is 25/9/2019 ffs! Where are they?

I understand how frustrating it can be when invoices seem to disappear. Let’s troubleshoot this issue with QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To start, please make sure that you’re logging in to the correct company file. If you have verified that you’re in the right account and yet still missing the following transactions. Then, we could check your Audit Log report to see if someone made changes to your account. 

Here’s how:

1. Go to Settings and select Audit log.
2. Select the appropriate User, Date, and Events filters from the Filter drop-down menu.
3. Click Apply.
4. Locate the deleted transaction.
5. Click the View button under the History column.
6. Under the Event column, you'll find all the information you need for the transaction.

Note that if the invoice was accidentally deleted, you’ll need to recreate it.

However, If the problem still exists, I advise taking a browser troubleshooting measures. This unusual behavior of the QBO system (disappearance of an invoice) can sometimes be caused by the browser's overtime collection of data from frequent page visits. 

Here's how:

• Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome)
• Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox)
• Control + Option + P (Safari)

Once you've opened a private browser window, please follow the steps below to locate the missing invoices.

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account within this private window.
2. Navigate to the Invoices tab from the Sales menu.
3. Filter the invoice by Status and Date to narrow down the search.

If you can find the missing invoice in the private browser, it indicates that the issue is related to your regular browser’s cache or data collection. Clear your regular browser’s cache to refresh the system.

On the other hand, if you're looking at a report and some invoices are missing, I recommend removing the filters (name, date, status, etc.)
