Question

My sales figures are showing as double what it should be. My daily invoice has the sales total but my deposited cash and card income is also being added as sales

My EPOS provider (Lightspeed HQ - Series K) automatically posts an invoice at the end of the day with with the 'Amount' as the total sales. It also records payment types (Cash, Card and Gift Card) as negative figures. The total balances at £0.00.

When i deposit CASH, CARD or GIFT CARD PAYMENTS into my bank account it shows as sales as well, effectively doubling the sales total and showing inaccurate income figures.

I'm not sure if it's maybe a mapping issue or something, but I would appreciate any help on offer

I'm here to offer the necessary details to assist with your concern about data integration and recording sales transactions, tommy-foxtaverns.

Lightspeed is one of the apps that can be synced in QBO. This integration aims to provide seamless transfer of data saving you time and eliminating the possibility of errors associated with manual data entry.

This means that you no longer need to manually record deposits or any type of sales form if the transactions are already synced in QBO. As long as the correct fields were mapped during the integration setup, the data should flow into the respective GL accounts automatically.

Having said that, I suggest reaching out to Lightspeed's support. They can verify the integration and ensure that the mapping of fields is correct.
