My Total expenses figure is too high as expenses are shown under a specific category and 'Everything else' Why is this happening?

If you're referring to the total expense that shows in the report, we can open this to verify what's causing the issue. To do this, here's how:

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
2. Go to the Reports menu at the left panel.
3. In the Find report by name field, search and choose the data that shows the total expenses. 
   
   
4. Select the period and click Run report.
5. In the statement, click the amount in question. 
   
   

Then, you can perform some adjustments once you found the root cause behind the excessive total expenses.
