Question

On my tablet, when I try to select transactions for review in banking, it's saying the dates I need are invalid! I need 30.09.20 to 01.10.21. Why is this invalid?

I want to ensure you're filtering the correct transaction dates in QuickBooks Online, @1231 4582 2962 334.

The format when selecting the transaction dates is (DD/MM/YYYY). That's why it gives you the error saying it's an invalid entry. I suggest using a slash (/) as a separator instead of a period.  Also, choose the dates directly by clicking the calendar icon on the field. Here's how:

  1. Click on the Banking menu.
  2. Go to the Banking tab.
  3. Click on the All dates drop-down.
  4. Select the calendar icon inside the box.
  5. Pick the right date range for the transactions you want to review. Or enter the dates in a (DD/MM/YYYY) format.
  6. Once done, click on Apply.

If the issue persists, I recommend performing some basic troubleshooting procedures on your app. This allows the application to refresh and removes typical issues when accessing transactions. Clearing the app's data can be done on the app or on your phone settings. Follow the instructions below:

For QuickBooks Online app:

  • Android - Click on the menu at the top right and click on Settings. Then hit Refresh Data and select Yes.
  • iOS - Click on the menu at the top right and then select Help & Feedback. Then choose Refresh Data and Refresh.

In your Phone Settings:

  • Android - In your phone's settings, choose Apps (varies by device). Select the QuickBooks app from the list and click on Storage. Click on clear data.
  • iOS - In your phone's settings, click on Settings, then, hit General and click on iPhone Storage. Choose an app that's taking up a lot of space. To free up the storage without deleting the documents and data for the app, hit Offload App.
